Celebration / hooray — two raised hands expressing joy, pride, triumph or approval: "we did it!" Draws on the idea of a double high-five (high ten).

Worship / praise (orans) — hands lifted to God in prayer and praise, the ancient orans posture (1 Timothy 2:8, "lifting up holy hands"), revived in Pentecostal and charismatic contemporary worship.

"Raise the roof" — raised open hands as a hype/celebration gesture, rooted in African American gospel choirs and later hip-hop.
